Six Shots & Space Aliens

September 1st

Last night I had a really hard time staying asleep, because my legs hurt. I needed the heating pad on my legs & then my mom had to massage them after for me to fall asleep.

Today was my third day at my new school, SCVI Charter School. Since I had to get my shot this morning, I wasn't allowed to go in the sun during PE at school. While I was waiting 1hr. 45mins. for my class to get back, I sat next to Alex & we told jokes and played games. My legs felt awesome today, guess the shot really works!

P.S. I think I got a "Space Alien" bite on my back, I'll keep you posted...

Lots of Medicine

August 26th, 2010

Yesterday I went to the doctors and I found out that I have Bronchitis, so now I get to take an antibiotic as well as my other medicines. The medicine tasted good at first, but then turned weird. I only have one more day of taking the antibiotic, so that is good.

Last night my parents took me to my new school to meet my teachers and I got a "Juuuuuice it Up" smoothie! My school seems cool & I signed up for Lego Robotics.

Today I've been feeling okay, my joint pain is still there, but the pain is mild. I want to get stronger so I will be ready for swim team in September. My GI doctor called to tell me my Iron level is low and my sed rate (the marker for infection) is higher. She said it is probably because I have Bronchitis. So I also have to take an Iron pill every day.

Sorry I have not blogged for a long time. I have not been feeling well, my legs have been hurting a little and I have a bad cough. My medicine ran out so I am getting more. It has been working well except the past couple days. I am going to the doctors to get my cough checked out.

I am trying to get a Starbucks gold card, they are so cool and you can earn a free drink. I am also saving money to buy some of the new lego Hero Factory figures. Well, that's all for now.

It's Been a Long Time

August 8th

Tomorrow is my sisters birthday and we are going to the beach with my sisters friends and I cannot wait because I want to build a sand castle. Last week I got my second shot and it hurt a little. I also went to the beach with my cousins and we had to walk down huge stairs! It was really easy though. I went in the super cold water and that usually makes my joints hurt because of the cold, but my medicine is helping a lot. I have been feeling so great lately because of my new medicine. When we got on the beach we had to walk across the beach just to find a spot, but then we had to move because of the hi tide. My cousins and I made a sand castle on top of a rock, it was so cool!

Tuesday I have to get a blood test, I used to like them but now since I have them so much I don't like them any more. Thats it, by!

I Call the Shots...

Yesterday I got my new medicine and I feel great. My medicine was a shot into my stomach and it was a neon yellow color. My mom gave me the shot and my whole family was there to watch. After that I went to my cousins house and played Bionicles. It was also my uncles birthday and he got the iphone 4. Today I went to Shave It with my friend and I got a banana & ice cream flavor. It tasted like a banana explosion! My parents bought me a Bionicle because I got a shot yesterday. The color of the Bionicle was red with a flame sword.

Tonight I skyped with my cousins, skyping is like your standing in front of the person your talking to, but you're really talking to them through a computer. I think skyping is the coolest thing in the world!

Legs Good Today, Bad Yesterday!

I stayed at home today and my legs felt good. I had a hard time sleeping last night. today I had no sweets and when I do my legs hurt so I did not have any. Tomorrow I get my new medicine and it is not supposed to work for awhile. Well that is it for this blog.

Pain and Cupcakes

I felt horrible today and sometimes I wonder if my legs will feel better. When my legs hurt it does not allow me to walk well at all. I sometimes fall or cannot get up off the ground with out needing help and I also cannot run, because every time I do I start to limp and I can barely stand. Starting Wednesday 28th, I'm going to get a shot of Methotrexate in the stomach every week and a pill every morning. The worst part is not being able to do the things I used to do when I was little, like run and walk, sleep well and not have to take medicine every day. I hope tomorrow I'll feel better.

I did go to Sprinkles today though with my family and I got the black & white and the peanut butter cupcakes! That always makes me feel a little better.

july 24'th

Today is day 11 of weaning off my old medicine (mercaptopurine & Allopurinol). I woke up this morning feeling great. My mom said I could make eggs and bacon. I burnt the bacon and it tasted crunchy. After that I got the mail and I had been expecting a bionicle and I got it. Then we went out shopping. Tonight my legs started hurting and I cannot wait till I get my new medicine. I will start it on Wednesday and I'm supposed to get it by syringe once a week. I hope it will make my legs and my UC better!
